Holiday Programmes

School Holidays

All three libraries hold programmes of stories, crafts and entertainment during July school holidays.

Junior Members & Kidz Cards

Children under 16 years have a Junior membership.

A junior registration form requires the signature and ID of a parent or guardian, and proof of address.  We also record the school attended.

Children's cards are issued for their personal use.

Junior items on a child's card are eligible for junior overdue charges. Some junior items have rental charges, e.g. Children's DVDs & CDs

A junior item taken out on an adult card is eligible for adult extended loan charges.

Databases for Research and Fun

From homework help, through secondary school and tertiary level, to adult general interest, to health topics, law, funding, scholarships, our databases provide access to a huge range of online resources, on just about every topic

From home you can information and have fun while learning.

Hastings District Libraries subscribe to a wide range of databases, greatly extending our collections.

Most are available to use from home - use your library card number for login ID.

All three libraries have great collections of children's items, including books, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, cassettes and talking books.

All ages are catered for, from toddlers to teens.
