All three libraries hold programmes of stories, crafts and entertainment during school holidays.  Please note start times vary!

Minecraft Club 
Suitable 5+ years 
BYOD and Minecraft log in and meet other likeminded individuals. Whether you enjoy PVP or Creative, we have the world for you.

Finger Painters 
Who knew you could be so creative using only your hands! Come along and see what you can do.

Junk to Funk 
Get your creative juices flowing by recycling ‘junk’ and turning into something ‘funky’. Use our assorted art and craft supplies to create anything you can imagine. All ages welcome, no booking required.

Bead Making
Create beads to make your own jewelery with using paper!

There is a chance that the planned renovation work to the Havelock North Library may impact on the school holiday programme. We are mindful of minimising any disruption to service as much as possible but there are Health & Safety issues to consider. If required we may hold the holiday activities at another site in Havelock North.

Rock Painting
Get creative and paint some rocks, keep them for yourself or leave them to be hidden around Hawkes Bay for others to find. Rocks and materials will be supplied. You are also welcome to bring your own. Be prepared to get messy.

Drop in anytime this morning to play board games.

Learn about earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. You can even become a scientist too! Suitable 7+

Movie Madness 10:00am-11:40am and 12:00pm- 1:20pm
Bring a pillow and come along to enjoy bear themed movies.

Preschool Storytime
Bring your favourite teddy bear along to enjoy bear themed stories, songs and craft.

Figures that Move
Unleash your imagination and design a range of figures. Tall, small and inbetween.

Movie Marathons
Venue: Flaxmere Library, Children’s Section
Drop in anytime during these hours and join us in watching movies from our Junior DVD section. All movies will be family friendly. All ages welcome

Frankenbears
Suitable 10+
Venue: Flaxmere Library , YA Section
Create a bear creepy enough to rival Dr Frankenstein’s Monster! Mix and match old toys to create something new (and eerie). The only limit to the toy creations is your imagination.
 
Tues 18th July 1:00 – 4:00pm
Winter Rocks
Venue: Flaxmere Library, YA Section
Get creative and paint some rocks, keep them for yourself or leave them to be hidden around Flaxmere for others to find. Rocks and materials will be supplied. You are also welcome to bring your own. Be prepared to get messy.  Drop in any time between 1 – 4pm and supplies will be left on a table in the YA section for you to create. 
 
Thurs 20th July 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Board Games
Venue: Flaxmere library 
Description: Drop in anytime between 1 – 4pm to play one of our board games. Grab a game from the selection that will be kept at the issues desk and get playing.  Games for all ages will be available to use. 
 
Friday 14 July 2:00pm – 3:30pm  
Dream Catchers
Suitable 5+
Venue: Flaxmere Library, YA Section
Come along and make your own Dreamcatcher – it catches the bad dreams, and only lets the good ones. through. Take it home with you after and hang it in your bedroom.
 

We may take photographs or video recordings during events and programmes which may be used in Council promotional material.
