All three libraries hold programmes of stories, crafts and entertainment during school holidays.  Please note start times vary!

Learn the basics of cartoon and caricature drawing with Michele. Come along and have fun creating your own cartoon art.

Cardboard Art Workshop Recommended for school age children. 
Venue: Flaxmere library – YA Section
Description: Hawke's Bay artist Emanuel Dunn creates extraordinary sculpture from everyday materials. He will share some of the techniques of his sculpture method and children can experiment and have the chance to create a unique 3D artwork of their own. Materials and equipment provided.

Screen Printing
Venue - Flaxmere Library - Harakeke Room
Learn to Screen Print at the Library! Bring along a clean, plain t-shirt, top  or pillow case (white works best, but any pale colour is fine) and leave with an 'up-cycled' designer looking item! All done by you! No registrations required, just come along at 10:30am and get ready to create something awesome.

Cartoon Art Workshop
Venue: Flaxmere library – YA Section 
Description: Join us at 10:30am and Michele Jung will be teaching the kids how to do some cartoon drawing. We will supply them with pens, pencils, felts, etc… to help get them creating. By the end of it they will hopefully have some cartoons of their own to take home with them.

We may take photographs or video recordings during events and programmes which may be used in Council promotional material.
