Donations and Bequests

Hastings District Libraries welcome enquiries from benefactors who would like to support work of the libraries in the future by making a bequest.

A bequest is a provision in your will that names the recipient or recipients of your estate.

When making a bequest to the Hastings District Libraries you may wish to specify:

  • an amount of money; or,
  • a percentage of your estate;
  • or the remainder of your estate.

A general bequest allows the Hastings District Libraries to allocate the funds wherever the need is greatest.

How do I make a bequest?

For more information about making a bequest to the Hastings District Libraries please contact Paula Murdoch, District Libraries Manager, by phone 871 5000 or email
