Databases

Hastings District Libraries subscribe to a wide range of databases, greatly extending our collections.

Most are available to use from home - use your library card number for login ID. These include:

• Britannica Library Edition - has a junior and student level search, as well as the full encyclopedia
• Languagenut - a fun way for children (and adults) to learn languages through games, songs and books.
• LOTE4Kids – online eResource that allows kids to enjoy the magic of digital books in Languages Other Than English (LOTE). Access from home.
• Story Box Library – educational website, created for children to view stories by local authors and illustrators, being read aloud by predominantly Australian and New Zealand storytellers. Access from home and library.
