Do you like Dinosaurs?

Get ready for a prehistoric adventure as Dinosaurs Unleashed arrives at Hastings Library for two days only, kicking off the spring school holidays with a roar!

Councillor Wendy Schollum is thrilled to announce that this exciting show, brought by Legends Unleashed Dinosaurs Aotearoa, will transform the library into a mini dinosaur, fossil, and rock museum. "Dinosaurs Unleashed will offer a hands-on, interactive experience with life-size dinosaur bones, jaws, and claws, along with genuine fossils. It's a must-see for dinosaur fans of all ages," says Schollum.

One of the main attractions is Tai the Velociraptor, a moving, talking dinosaur model that visitors can meet up close. Attendees will also get the chance to learn from dino-experts, Darren and Rista, who will share fascinating insights about the world of dinosaurs.

In addition to the exhibition, the library is hosting a Dino Detectives Scavenger Hunt throughout the school holidays. Participants can track down a T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and other Jurassic friends hidden around the library. Entry forms are available, and successful Dino Detectives will go in the draw for exciting prizes.

Dinosaurs Unleashed is a free exhibition, but it's only at Hastings Library for two days – Monday, 30 September, and Tuesday, 1 October. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind adventure!
