Library meeting rooms are available free of charge for non-commercial use only. The definition of non-commercial depends on the primary purpose for which the room is used, not on the user.
Upstairs in Hastings War Memorial Library, this is a glass-walled room equipped with blinds for privacy. A public lift is available to reach the mezzanine floor.

Facilities: 1 whiteboard (fixed), 1 projectable wall
Hastings War Memorial Library has been classified as an earthquake-prone building following a Detailed Seismic Assessment (DSA). The building’s rating indicates uncertainty as to how the building would respond in a major earthquake. It is not at risk of failure in smaller earthquakes. Facilities: Lockable kitchenette with sink and zip, 2 rectangular tables, 9 chairs (more available), 1 projectable wall, whiteboard (fixed).
