Hastings District Libraries Meeting Rooms  Ngā Rūma Huihui 

If you are looking for somewhere to hold a community meeting then you are welcome to make a booking request for the use of one of our spaces.

Library meeting rooms are available free of charge for non-commercial use only. The definition of non-commercial depends on the primary purpose for which the room is used, not on the user.

Hastings

Sir James Watties RoomSir James Wattie Meeting Room

Upstairs in Hastings War Memorial Library, this is a glass-walled room equipped with blinds for privacy. A public lift is available to reach the mezzanine floor.

Location: Hastings War Memorial Library
Capacity: This room can seat a maximum of 12-15 people around tables, up to 20 people theatre style
Facilities: 1 whiteboard (fixed), 1 projectable wall

Hastings War Memorial Library has been classified as an earthquake-prone building following a Detailed Seismic Assessment (DSA). The building’s rating indicates uncertainty as to how the building would respond in a major earthquake. It is not at risk of failure in smaller earthquakes. The library will remain open to the public while plans are developed to address the issue. Click here for more information.

Location: Havelock North Library
Capacity: This room can seat a maximum of 12-14 people with tables, up to 20 with tables removed
Facilities: Lockable kitchenette with sink and zip, 2 rectangular tables, 9 chairs (more available), 1 projectable wall, Freestanding whiteboard.

If you require use of the kitchenette, please specify in your room booking so we can organise access.

Capacity: This room can seat a maximum of 6-8 people with table 
Facilities: 1 rectangular desk, 6 chairs (more available), 1 whiteboard (fixed), 1 projectable wall
