Free WiFi at the libraries

You can access free WiFi at our facilties, as part of a wider HDC Free WiFi service. It can be found by selecting “HDC Free WiFi” from the available networks under Wi-Fi on your phone or mobile device.

Hastings District Council provides free public WiFi (wireless internet connection) at a growing number of areas around the Hastings city centre.

Free WiFi points include:

  • City Centre Mall/Fountain
  • iSite
  • Heretaunga Street (between Russell Street and Warren Street)
  • Karamu Road North (between Eastbourne Street and Queen Street East)
  • Civic Square
  • Albert Square
  • Toitoi: Hawke’s Bay Arts & Events Centre
  • Hastings Library parking area and playground
  • Hastings Sports Centre

This free service covers many key open spaces around the city and is available 7am-7pm, 7 days a week.
