Author Event: an evening with Tina Clough and Karen McMillan

HDL clough mcmillan author talk FB Event 1920x1005Havelock North Library is hosting an author talk with two local writers who have new books out they can’t wait to talk to you about.

Tina Clough’s Hunter Grant series of books have been hugely popular, suspenseful thrillers that pit an army veteran up against shady miscreants including organised crime and terrorists, set in New Zealand’s varied landscape. Among her many writing projects, Tina’s been busy with a series of eight stand-alone women’s fiction novels. In Letters from the Past, each story focuses on a woman’s perception of herself or her family following a surprising revelation in a letter. Tina also writes romance fiction under a pseudonym.

Karen McMillan has a writing career of 22 books published in 10 different countries – a mix of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. Among these are the best-selling historical romances The Paris of East, set in wartime Warsaw and The Paris of the West set in post-war San Francisco; plus the contemporary novel Brushstrokes of Memory – a story where the main character deals with amnesia and must learn to live again. Her new novel, Turbulent Threads is a gripping saga set in 1890s Dunedin.

Come along on Tuesday 9 April, at 6:30 pm to discover more about their new books and how these creative people find their inspiration. This is a free event with book sales and signing on the night.
