Britannica provides online access to a popular encyclopædia. It can be accessed through clicking on the Online Resources button in the Quicklinks list on the Hastings District Libraries website. Just type in Britannica in the search field. One click and you’re there. You will then make a choice from Kids, Teens and Adults.
I chose Adults to do my search. I wanted to find out about Christmas, so having clicked on Adults, I clicked on the Search button at the top of the screen. That produced a popup inviting me to enter my search term. I put in Christmas. There appeared recommended articles, images you could click on, and videos you could watch. I checked out the main article. It was very informative. Its videos were each about the origins of the different traditions that make up our celebration of Christmas.
